General Accounting
The General Accounting division provides professional accounting services for the university and ensures campus finances comply with all regulations.
The division performs essential Central Office tasks including preparation of campus financial data for inclusion in financial statements, management of the Chart of Accounts, General Ledger maintenance, intercampus transactions, capital assets and debt accounting, payroll financial reporting, Nonresident Reporting and Withholding, Unrelated Business Income Tax Reporting, and monthly/mid-year/year ending closing activities.
During the Fiscal Year-End Close, collaborating closely with campus and UC Office of the President, General Accounting is the unit responsible for collecting, preparing, and transmitting UCI financial data to the University of California, Office of the President.
