The Attorney General of California recently announced that effective April 15, South Carolina has been added to the list of prohibited states for state-funded travel under Assembly Bill 1887. This law expressly identifies the University of California as an entity covered by the law, and campus departments must comply with this rule. The Office of the Attorney General website has additional information on AB 1887, including the list of states subject to its provisions.
